while i spent a couple of hours packing stuff today, i had these 2 songs on repeat-mode --- breakeven by xenia (of the voice) and the track of my tears by paul mcdonald (of american idol). pure talent, quite unique voices --- for which reason i am willing to fork more than what hubby spent for my azkals ticket to watch xenia and paul mcdonald live in concert, that is, kung meron. (but my all-time wish for the music category: watch celine dion at the caesar's palace in vegas or her next world tour, if any; ayaw ko na ng mega concert ni tita shawie, hahaha!).
my wish for xenia and paul --- sana you find the right managers now that you got your break. i realize that with wrong managers and poor choices, voice par excellence is totally wasted. conversely, with the right manager and packaging, mediocre voice hits the billboards (or at least the TV and radio airwaves). . .
as for solenn heusaff, hindi na yata tamang maganda pa din ang boses mo . . . lahat na lang nasa 'yo na! pati mag-paint, may talent ka. bitter me, hehe! to be fair, you seem to be gifted in singing also . . . but perhaps you're a better fit for burlesque like in christina aguilera's movie. pretty face, sexy body, daring voice . . . definitely burlesque. we don't seem to have the avenue for real, artful burlesque here in manila, so why not?! will watch, as i am sure hubby and friends will . . . ha,ha! as for ann, hmmmm . . . i've seen you in person and yes, you are indeed pretty and flawless, but not beautiful . . . at least by my standards, you need to be stunningly and quintessentially pretty-perfect kung maputi ka to be beautiful --- again, bitterness on my part, haha! kasi naman, maraming "maganda" lang kasi maputi, kung hindi sila maputi, ordinary lang (but at the end of the day, "maganda" pa din sila kasi maputi naman talaga sila at hindi na iitim no! hehe!) . . . but singing? seriously?! i heard you on the news the other day having plans to release a single? seriously?!! did i hear that right?!! tsk . . . tsk . . .
oh, well, to cap my post, if ann ends up marrying her current bf, solenn and ann will be sisters-in-law :) chika minute! :)

ps. 2 weeks ago, hubby told me that he would like to have a dolce and gabbana perfume . . . that is, simply because he heard or read somewhere that solenn wants to hug a man wearing that scent . . . ganun?!! well, solenn -- kung ikaw ang papalit sa trono ko, i will concede. to you and to no one else, hahaha! but since i am still the legal wife, i-hug mo na lang please (and smack sa cheeks, pwede din) . . . i bought him the dolce and gabbana na . . . ha,ha!
