Maria Lea Carmen Imutan Salonga ( now Mrs. Chien) , still has "it".
After the getting a Tony for her performance in Miss Saigon, sikat pa rin siya huh. the "small voice" made her really big in showbiz.
Disney got her in the 90's, then series of performances before Bush, Clinton, etc.
Indeed, before Pacquiao, Ap.d.ap, Nicole and Charice, there's Lea.
There's this one movie though na medyo di ko type. The one with Aga Muhlach ("Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal'). Her famous line "Pasensya ka na, hindi ako katulad mo na napaka-perfect" (pronounced as PUUUUR-FECT!).
Believe me, that line gave me chills went I saw the movie.
Aga and Lea were supposed to do a movie last 2010.IDK what happened.Obviously, the lady is so busy.
Recently, the former Miss Saigon, was chosen as one the judges for the 2011 Ms. Universe. Oha!
Why not... she's still pretty and looking young at 40. Photo below, gulat pa sya nyan ha! HU-WAAAT!
So what could be her possible question to a candidate? Pwede kaya to: "Do you think the State should intervene in controlling population?". I wonder how Ms. Canada will answer this. (Canada has about 3 to 4 inhabitants per square km or with only 33M people)

Sometimes, ladies in their 40's start to grow big (and old).Kaya naman , instead of getting fab at 40 like Dawn Z., Kring-Kring G. and of course Leah, some women forget how to be fab that they transform into "miss sorsogon" representing the "butandings".

x, when we were kids, i used to hear my kuyas sing this. . . it was years after that i learned that the lyrics go "i am but a small VOICE . . ." akala ko all the while "i am but a small BOY . . ." kasi that's what i heard from my kuyas. . .dunno know kung nabingi lang ako or they sang it that way nga coz they like changing the lyrics . . .so anyway, blast from the past when i read your post. . .haha! love, Z
