Fashion Design World

The obsession started one weekend. Out of curiousity, I got so enticed with Fashion Design World. I had US$60,000 as seed money and splurged it on decors, racks, etc, etc. until I had only about US$20,000 to buy my machine. The result, I had no profit since customers had very few choices from my boutique. It was an epic failure that I decided to withdraw from business. Aaaaw, that hurts.

Hmmm....reading the first paragraph, you may think that I've been a foolish, brainless and bankrupt blogger, who squandered thousands with no business vision in mind.

Good thing I can delete the scenario and DOWNLOAD the game again.
Yes, it's a game I was obssessed with for more than 2 weeks already.

The second time, I got wiser. I bought more machine and fewer racks and tables. No decor yet. I started with the more affordable merchandise then expanded after a few days. Last weekend, I finally bought my second floor. Wohooo! Business is good.

In lucid intervals, Y and Z tried to get my attention. On the side, I check my boutique to see the latest available merchandise for display. And after a few days, Fashion World, also invaded Y and Z's Ipads.

Hahahaha!

Just want to share snapshots of my boutique as of 4pm July 11, 2012.

Let the game begin!

That's my boutique in the building across the rotunda

my ground floor

my second floor

My goal now is to have a display window-that's in Level 25 and long term is to buy the building across my boutique

Hahaha! Nuts!

Fifty Shades Hype

Okay, the whole breaktime left me and my colleagues discussing Book 1.
I just cannot believe that this book will be of interest to all.

Anyway, X, Y and Z exchanged emails yesterday relative to this latest object of our curiousity. At breaktime, it made everyone listening (eavesdropping)...Hahaha!

What's with the hype?

Lines from:

X:  "Di ko alam kung anong klase imagination meron ang author. Grabe!"( I don't know what kind of imagination the author has. Unbelievable!)

Y:  " Ako nabasa ko yan nung Holy Week." (I read that during the Holy Week)

Z:  " Out of stock yan sa bookstore." ( No stock in the bookstore). Though she has her ebook version but Z likes hers in paper, covered with plastic and all. perhaps even with her kikay stickers on them...hehehe Peace!

Anyway, the discussion went on and did not end at breaktime. It was extended on our email exchanges. This was triggered by Y. She sent an email reminding us that a  lot of women were fired from their work because of the book/s. Ironically, we introduced the book to the HR head and seem to show interest too. Whew! I smell labor cases. Wink! Wink!

Then, Y sent  her choices for Christian Grey.

Y's choices:

X's choices:

To this, Y replied: " They don't look like 27. They look like 47."

Z's choice:

Hmmm... can't wait for Hollywood to come up with the final casting. Even in the search engines, an electronic sketch of how Grey looked like became a trend. Huwaaat!

I just hope the choice for Grey would not shock us.

E-book 8 : Caraliza

Caraliza is a mystery / thriller/ romance e-book written by Joel Blain Kirkpatrick.

image from http://www.caraliza.com/
It is a story of a young girl named Caraliza. She was from Amsterdam who was sold by her poor parents to a cruel man described in the story as "brute". Setting was in the slums of New York in 1919. She was treated inhumanely by her keeper who locked her up in a dungeon-like putrid smelling basement, left hungry for days and had been sexually abused at a young age. Across the street where she was locked is a photo shop/ studio owned by a wealthy Jew named Menashe Reisman. He sells cameras and assisting him is a young man named Yousep. Young Yousep repaired a Waterbury camera belonging to Mr. Martin Bryant. The deal was that if he can fix it, it's his. And so it happened. Yousep fell in love to the young girl held captive by the brute living across the street. He had the chance to help the young girl escape from the cruel brute and brought her to the studio. Mr. Reisman and Yousep's parents learned about what he did. But the girl and Yousep were discovered by the brute and the rest is a shrouded mystery that haunted Reisman and the studio until the present or modern New York. Nobody knew what happened to the young lovers. Reisman's disturbing behavior or dementia after the disappearance of the lovers also became a mystery to his family.

The second setting was in modern New York when Shelly, the grand daughter of Reisman took over the building with a plan to renovate and revive the old studio. The Waterbury was to be the centerpiece of the studio. She met Evan, a handsome young man of aristocratic origins, and is also related to Mr. Bryant or the person who gave the camera to Yousep. The buidling and the studio was haunted that every being who goes inside smells evil. In short, it is haunted. Only Shelly felt peace and love inside the dark room of the studio where she mingles with the paranormal. How the present day characters discovered the secrets of the buidling, the camera and the fate of the young lovers made me read more until I realized it was already 4am. Hohuum!

A good read....

Got it free from Amazon, of course.
