couch potato: modern family

modern family, a comedy tv series, is currently on its 3rd season.  a couple of months ago, it bagged the outstanding comedy series award at the emmy's.  it presents the story of 3 inter-related american families.  it's a bit "shallow" but i wouldn't exactly categorize it as shallow because there is always a lesson to be learned, whether indirectly (or subconsciously! haha!).  it's light and funny... somekinda like "friends" but this focuses on family.

my favorite characters: gloria (the sexy 2nd wife) & manny (the chubby mature kid/step-son)
my favorite house: the pritchett's
one thing i dislike:  when haley (the eldest daughter of the dunphy family) is presented as the "dumb" child.

as a comedy series: 4 stars (naks! critic?! hahaha!)
as a tv series: 3.5 stars (naks again! haha!)

you'll have to watch this to get me... (or at least google more, haha!) ...if you're watching it, don't stop at the first episode in case you find it too shallow or boring (as i did, initially).
