Busog Trip 1

I enjoyed these sweet foodies last weekend. After watching Pacquiao fight, the host of the house where we watched graciously prepared and served us Ginatang Bilo-bilo. Super duper yummy. I prefer it chilled. When there's little left, it tastes even better. So strange huh!

my nth serving....!
It's rice flour or galapong rolled like tiny marbles, with plantain bananas (saba), sweet potato (kamote), tapioca (sago) and jackfruit (langka). The sweet soupy texture is a mixture of coconut milk and muscovado sugar (but white or brown sugar will do). Ang sarap!

Also served was bibingka (rice cake). Subtle sweetness that melts into your mouth is so addictive. It was made by Betty's Special Native Cakes. Other than Enlin and Eurobake, they say that Betty's is becoming a known name in Bulacan. They also sell cassava cake, maja blanca, sapin-sapin and biko. A medium bilao size costs Php290 for the bibingka, while the large size for sapin-sapin is Php580. This is a must try.

the medium bilao size as big as a family-sized pizza

My sweet indulgence didn't end with the bibingka. I also tried the yellow-frosted cupcake that the host's daughter baked. DS joined the other kids in sprinkling different toppings on the sweet treats. The result is cute. Little hands, delicious wonders!!!

Sugar in addition to lack of sleep made me so sleepy. I dozed off when we reached home.

Knock out!
