A truly XYZ-ish contest

As promised yesterday, we feel that it is about time for X, Y and Z to give away a lovely prize to a deserving and lucky reader.  The prize is, drumroll.... a Volcanic Rock Massage at The Spa The Fort worth P1,500.00.  Check out the mechanics:

1. Take any photo with a Valentine's day theme.  You may opt to write a brief description the photo.  No offensive photos please.

2.  E-mail the photo to peoplevxyz@gmail.com on or before 7 pm of Valentine's day.   (note that our email address is a bit tricky, as it contains no letter 's')  Only jpg, gif, bmp and png images and no more than 8 MB will be accepted.  By e-mailing the photo, you are representing and guaranteeing that the photo is yours and you are holding X, Y and Z harmless from any liability in posting your photo.

3.  By 11:59 pm of Valentine's Day, X, Y and Z will each post a photo of her choice.  Criteria will be relevance, creative approach and appeal.  The very first entry received will also be posted.  Nothing though shall prevent X, Y or Z from choosing the very first entry.  Nothing also shall prevent 2 or all of them from choosing the same photo.  Your identity or e-mail will not be disclosed when your photo is posted.

4.  While we love democracy in its ideal form, we just are not in the mood for any popularity contest.  So, let's just leave it to luck, ok?  Here goes: We will await the value of the peso to the US dollar according to the Reference Exchange Rate Bulletin posted at BSP website on February 16, 2012 (the "Reference Date").  The reference date is the date on top right portion of the page, written on the same row of "Reference Exchange Rate Bulletin".

If the thousandth decimal digit of the value of the Philippine Peso to the US Dollar is 1,4,7 then the winner is X's choice.  If 2,5,8, the winner is Y's choice.  If 3,6,9, then the winner is Z's choice.  If 0, then the winner is the very first entry received.  For example, if the value of the peso is 42.193000 then the choice of Z is the winner, because the thousandth decimal digit is 3.

5.  We will e-mail the winner the instructions on how to claim his/her prize.  You will be asked to provide X, Y and Z your full name as shown in a valid government-issued ID for identification purposes when claiming your prize.

6.  We will not shoulder your fare and other costs when claiming or enjoying the prize.  The prize is not convertible to cash.  Photos submitted will become the property of X, Y and Z.  X, Y and Z reserve the right to change the mechanics reasonably based on the circumstances.

So, what are you waiting for?  Think, focus, point, shoot, and e-mail away!

xoxo, X,Y and Z
