fab! gimme some colors

Yesterday, Z brought some items which she wants to give away.  Among those are a fuschia top and a red skirt.  Z tried to demonstrate how the 2 can be worn together.  I wanted to say, ok Z, I may be slow sometimes, but I don't live under a rock ok?  I know what you are trying to say, (well at least since an hour ago.  Hehehe.)


And so started our little chat with X about colour-blocking, and how there is a fashion trend about mixing red with fuschia, or other bold colors together.  I say I kinda knew about it because it also happened that I had just read a post of the Baghag lady where she mentions Daphne Oseña-Paez as being able to do colour-blocking so well.  She was referring to this photo:

Now, for the rest of us who for one reason or another cannot wear a similar look just yet, or are not courageous enough or would appear more of a fashion victim, I suggest taking it one step at a time.  In our (XYZ's) work, it is very common to wear neutral colors.  So, what if, for now, we invest on clutches or bags that have more color on it, and use them to update our neutral attire and make them look more current.  Here are some of my suggested looks:
