yummy: bak kwa


my friend gave this to hubby and i as pasalubong from singapore. she said she was lucky there was no line when she bought this because the waiting usually lasts 30minutes.

bak kwa, or sweet meat -- it's like our local tocino, but thinner and dry. plus, i think bak kwa is inihaw.
my favorite bak kwa is bee cheng hiang but i get to eat it only when I am in HK (or singapore), which happens once in a blue moon. i saw bee cheng hiang in robinsons manila last year and tried it but it's a far cry from the one on HK.

my friend said this lim chee guan is better than bee cheng hiang but i couldn't really taste the difference...they're both good! so happy and thankful for this! yum, yum!
