yummy: lechon


aling tasing's lechon.  this is the best lechon for me :)  nothing really spectacular but this is the classic lechon for me -- crunchy skin, soft and tasty meat, just the right seasoning and fresh from roasting ... mother hen orders this from malolos, bulacan every christmas and every time we have something big to celebrate.  yum, yum.

notwithstanding that i believe i have tasted the best lechon, i would like to try ulcing's, which Y said is delicious (but the idea that it has star anise is a bit scary for me) and zubuchon, which was acclaimed by well-known american chef anthony bourdain as the best roasted pig.  incidentally, both ulcing's and zubuchon are "cebu" lechons, one that is meant to be eaten without the usual "lechon sauce."  so, in the battle of the classic lechon, winner pa din si aling tasing, wohooo!!!
