eto na ang keso!

Hearts, plenty of hearts!!!

As promised, I'm sharing my cheesy verses as given to "ex" (now BH).
This one was written a few days after he proposed and of course your dear X said "I'll think about it." Kidding! I replied "yes" of course!(Yiheee...really cheesy!!!)

SOMEONE*

Somehow, there exists a
foretelling
That a being will be sent
to redeem
A heart that has
passed expiation
Long before reaching its
destination.

In solitude, I conversed
with myself
Soliloquy saved my
sanity
Benevolence from an
unknown providence
I really did not make
any sense.

Someone-left his spell
In my heart he has dwelt,
I fell,
          fell,
 now fallen,
Swiftly-encircling me so sudden.

Hay, I love the feeling of being in love (Ahem).
Uhm, can someone give me "Boy Bawang" please.Spicy ha! It's getting so "mais" already.

Of course, sometimes there are "rainy days", and you feel like pulling out the toilet bowl and throwing it outside aimed at your neighbor's roof. But then, you have to be "cool" coz you don't want anyone pretending to be concerned about your mood, to spread any "kesong-binibini"(cheese-miss). I hide my unpleasant moods by writing. I recall this (dated 7-13-00 and still written on a piece of faded receipt):

THE IDIOSYNCRACIES
OF PATIENCE*

I grow in silence-
unnoticed and
abruptly,
While my deathbed
was adorned
with your pompous
rejoicing.
Shattered self-esteem
Confidence running out
. . . I grieve alone,
                                                                    silently,
Expectant of
thy vain succor. . .
                                                                 Save . . .
                                                                 Redeem. . .
                                                                 Let not my tears
                                                                         build a stream.

How to survive an "LQ"? Write and be quiet!!!

I have some funny pieces too, but will just post them some other time.

Ilocano 102 (Daniw)

Niriing nak ti tarakitik dagiti bulbulong
Ken ti nalamiis a pul-oy ti angin,
Kas niyebe a naiwaras iti tangatang,
Nga immapros ti napudot a rupak.

(Ginising ako ng tunog ng mga dahon
At malamig na simoy ng hangin
Animo’y niyebe na nakakalat sa kalangitan
Na humaplos sa mainit kong mukha.)

Urayenak dung-ngo ket inta imatangan,
Iti baro nga aldaw nga insagut ti Namarsua.
Wen, ukoden ta nga agpada iti naturog a lasag,
Ragsak nga naimpusuan iraman ta ti kararag.

(Hintayin mo ako irog at ating panoorin
Ang bagong araw na alay ng Tagalikha
Oo,sabay natin akayin ang natulog na kalamnan,
Kasiyahang mula sa puso, isali natin sa panalangin.)

-(September 5, 2011)

I have been called eccentric by my friends in college and post-school. I used to make poetry and most of my compositions were written on receipts, back pages of my books and notebooks. When I finished school, I gathered all the "surviving" pieces and retrieved only about 80%. I transferred them to a decent paper (in my handwriting). I scribble whenever I can. I am just surprised though that I compose faster when I'm bored with lectures and a way lot better when "in love". Yihaaa!

As a continuation of the Ilocano 101 (“Cracked” Course), above is a sample of a composition made just an hour ago, before I was interrupted by...secret! Translation provided. It’s supposed to be about waking up. Palibhasa puyat. So difficult to wake up on a Monday morning. That’s why I still feel sleepy until now.

Will post more tomorrow (in English of course) after choosing a "cheesier" one.

Abangan... ang kesooo!
