my favorite tennis player beaten by the tennis player i least like (learning from the material girl in my earlier post. . . i should not say "i absolutely loathe this male player hiding in a body with allegedly female organs". . . i should say "while i acknowledge how great a tennis player serena is, unfortunately, i am just not a fan" . . . hmmmm. . . now i think i can forgive madonna . . . in fact, i believe i can now understand how she feels. . . i  !%$!  absolutely loathe that corpulent gorgon  who should be playing in the men's division!) ["absolutely loathe" borrowed from the material girl; "corpulent gorgon" borrowed from chuvaness]


at the french open around 7 or 8 years ago, ana ivanovic, then unseeded, unknown and without any major sponsor, beat the french and then grand slam favorite, amelie mauresmo in the quarterfinals.  even before then, i was already a fan of ana and believed that she will be no. 1. from that french open match, she slowly but surely grabbed the world. no. 1 ranking, though very briefly and rose to fame. she instantly became a celebrity like maria sharapova, endorsing rolex (side by side with the great roger federer), yonex and adidas.   (hence, in my wish-list/will-buy-list-if-i-win-the-lotto-or-get-rich-for-some-reason -- the "iWish list" -- is an all-steel daytona similar to ana's -- hehe!)

ana is serbian; started her young tennis career at the height of war in belgrade; practiced tennis in an empty swimming pool during winter until a manager discovered and sponsored her training.  success story in short. success, still, until this corpulent gorgon ruined her road to comeback . . .

serena williams was fined a record $82,500 for her offensive tirade at a lineswoman at the 2009 us open semifinals after a rare foot-fault was called against her.  imagine this extra-ordinary and massive creation screaming and cursing while walking towards the lineswoman . . . afraid!  unfortunately, i  cannot get past serena's unsportsman behaviour . . . likewise her tacky outfit . . .and now, her beating my favorite ana. . . move over, ogre (again, word borrowed from chuvaness)!  ha,ha -- joke! (aliw na aliw lang talaga ako gamitin ang "i absolutely loathe" ni madonna, "corpulent gorgon" and "ogre" ni chuvaness. . . and from where i stand at this moment, serena is just the perfect target . . .ha,ha,ha!  mean, minsan lang, please!) serena dude, i sincerely acknowledge your remarkable tennis talent and feat but it's about time to pass the throne.  awat na!
